概要: An acetylenic alcohol 1 was isolated from a lipophilic extract of the stony coral Alveopora verrilliana collected at Komesu, Okinawa. The structure of compound 1 was elucidated to be a new member of polyacetylenes by analyzing spectroscopic data and by comparing the data with those of metabolites having similar structural moieties. 続きを見る

概要: In our investigation on the secondary metabolites of Okinawan coral reef invertebrates, a series of bisabolene-class sesquiterpenoids were isolated from a sponge Halichondria sp. collected at Kerama Islands. After spectroscopic analyses of the isolates, new theonellin analogs 5-7 were elucidated in addition to the identification of known theonellins 1-4 and 8-9. 概要: A series of hennoxazoles (1, 4-6, 9-11) and miyakolide (8) were isolated from two specimens of the sponge Polyfibrospongia sp. Structures of hennoxazole E (5), hennoxazole A 4-acetate (6), hennoxazole E 4-acetate (10), and 3-dehydrohennoxazole D (11) will be discussed. 概要: Notocelia yakushimensis Kawabe isnewly recorded from the Yaeyama Islands. The specimen and male genitalia are shown. Eve n though emergence season of this species has been known as June, this individual was collected in October.
ミナミモッコクヒメハマキ ( 旧和名 : ヤクシマヒメハマキ ) は日本の固有種で , これまで本州 ( 和歌山県 ), 屋久島 , 奄美大島 , 沖縄島から知られていた . 寄主植物は , モッコク科のモッコクである . 大阪公立大学での標本調査において , 西表島産の本種の標本が確認されたので , ここに記録する . 八重山諸島では初記録と思われる . なお , 本種成虫は国内では 6 月に発生するとされているが , 本記録の個体は 10 月に採集されている . 八重山諸島では発生消長が異なる可能性がある .

概要: Polyonyx haigae McNeil, 1968, a poorly known species of the porcellanid genus Polyonyx Stimpson, 1858, is recorded for t he first time from Japanese waters based on material collected from Oura Bay in Okinawa Island of the Ryukyu Islands, southwestern Japan. This represents the third record of the species and extends the distribution range more northward and eastward than the previous record from the Nansha Islands in the South China Sea. The present two specimens occurred as a heterosexual pair in a tube of an unidentified species of the polychaete genus Chaetopterus Cuvier, 1830. This symbiotic habit has been also known for many of the other species of the P. sinensis group to which P. haigae belongs.
沖縄島の大浦湾から採集された標本に基づき , ヤワゲヤドリカニダマシ ( 新称 ) Polyonyx haigae McNeil, 1968 を報告し , 詳細に記載した . 沖縄島の標本は , 本種の日本沿岸からの初記録 , そして西太平洋域からの 3 番目の記録となる . 本種は , ツバサゴカイ属 Chaetopterus の未同定種の棲管中から雌雄 1 対で得られた . ツバサゴカイ属の種との共生は , 本種が属する P. sinensis 種群の他の多くの種においても知られている .

概要: The present study reports the first record of the genus Japonia Gould, 1859 from Kikaijima Island, the Amami Gunto Islan ds, Japan. The Japonia species found in Kikaijima Island is identified as J. tokunoshimana Pilsbry & Y. Hirase, 1904 based on the presence of two rows of petal-like and spreading periostracal hairs on the shell. Although many of the hairs of the present specimen of J. tokunoshimana have unfortunately fallen out, their relatively short length suggests that the Kikaijima specimen is J. t. tokunoshimana, not J. t. okinoerabuensis Minato, 1974.
奄美群島喜界島に産するヤマトガイ属 Japonia の初記録を報告する . 琉球列島における本属の既知種はそれぞれ殻皮毛に関する特徴で区別されている . 喜界島産の本報告個体は,2 列かつ広い花弁状の殻皮毛をもつことから種トクノシマヤマトガイ J. tokunoshimana Pilsbry & Y. Hirase, 1904 と同定された . さらにトクノシマヤマトガイは殻皮毛の長さから基亜種 J. tokunoshimana tokunoshimana もしくはオキノエラブヤマトガイ J. tokunoshimana okinoerabuensis Minato, 1974 に分かたれている . 本報告個体の殻皮毛の多くは脱落しているが残存するものは比較的短いことから , オキノエラブヤマトガイではなくトクノシマヤマトガイと同定した . 本属の多くは希産種であり , 絶滅が心配されている一方 , 十分な分類学的検討を欠く . 琉球列島における分布記録の集積に加え , 今後の詳細な形態的・遺伝的解析が求められる .

概要: Narcolepsy types 1 (NT1) and 2 (NT2) and idiopathic hypersomnia (IH) are thought to be a disease continuum known as narc olepsy spectrum disorders (NSDs). This study aimed to assess the prevalence of and factors associated with metabolic-syndrome-related disorders (MRDs) among patients with NSD. Japanese patients with NSD (NT1, n = 94; NT2, n = 83; and IH, n = 57) aged ≥35 years were enrolled in this cross-sectional study. MRD was defined as having at least one of the following conditions: hypertension, diabetes, or dyslipidemia. Demographic variables and MRD incidence were compared among patients in the respective NSD categories. Multivariate logistic regression analysis was used to investigate the factors associated with MRDs. Patients with NT1 had a higher body mass index (BMI) and incidence of MRD than that had by those with NT2 or IH. Age, BMI, and the presence of OSA were significantly associated with the incidence of MRD in NSDs. Age and BMI in NT1, BMI and human leukocyte antigen (HLA)-DQB1*06:02 positivity in NT2, and only age in IH were factors associated with the incidence of MRD. Obesity should be carefully monitored in narcolepsy; however, NT2 with HLA-DQB1*06:02 positive should be followed up for the development of MRD even without obesity. 続きを見る
