he first time from Japanese waters based on material collected from Oura Bay in Okinawa Island of the Ryukyu Islands, southwestern Japan. This represents the third record of the species and extends the distribution range more northward and eastward than the previous record from the Nansha Islands in the South China Sea. The present two specimens occurred as a heterosexual pair in a tube of an unidentified species of the polychaete genus Chaetopterus Cuvier, 1830. This symbiotic habit has been also known for many of the other species of the P. sinensis group to which P. haigae belongs.

Two mantis shrimp species of the family Nannosquillidae, Alachosquilla vicina (Nobili, 1904) and Bigelowina phalangium (Fabricius, 1798), are reported on the basis of material from Japanese localities including the Ryukyu Islands, Ogasawara Islands, and Chiba and Kanagawa Prefectures. Alachosquilla vicina is recorded from Honshu mainland and the Ogasawara Islands for the first time. れた. 本報告 は本種の日本初記録であり, その分布の北限記 録を大幅に更新した. 本研究の検討標本は, L. punctataの原記載と異なり鉗脚の長節先端部に小顆粒を欠いていた. これは近似種であるL. affinis Bell, 1855の標徴形質の1つである. 本報 告では琉球列島産の標本を暫定的にL. punctata と同定したが, 両種の分類学的な問題の解決には, より多くの標本に基づいた詳細な検討が必要である.
A rarely recorded leucosiid crab, Leucosia punctata Bell, 1855, is reported from Okinawa and Ishigaki Islands, the Ryukyu Archipelago, southwestern Japan, based on material from seagrass beds in sandy bottoms of the lower intertidal to subtidal depth shallower than 2 m. The present specimens represent the first records of the species from Japanese waters and significantly extend the geographical range to the north. A diagnosis and live coloration of L. punctata are provided. The present specimens are different from the original description of L. punctata by the absence of granules on the dorsodistal portion of the cheliped merus, which is one of the diagnostic characters of morphologically close but poorly known L. affinis Bell, 1855. Relationships of the two species need to be verified by examining the types as well as additional specimens to consider sizes, sexual and local variations, but this study tentatively identified the present specimens as L. punctata. 論文 続きを見る |

ghost shrimp Lepidophthalmus tridentatus (von Martens, 1868), although literature records of the species are rather scarce. The specimens examined in this study were collected from Amami-ohshima Island, the Okinawa Islands and the Yaeyama Islands. The species was found to burrow in soft sediments in intertidal to shallow subtidal zones, particularly in estuaries and mangrove areas. A detailed description of the species is provided to show evidence of the identification, as well as diagnostic details not mentioned in previous literature. Some comments on the taxonomy of the genus Lepidophthalmus are also given.
琉球諸島から採集された標本に基づき, スナモグリ科の一種Lepidophthalmus tridentatus (von Martens, 1868) (新称: ミツトゲヤワスナモグリ) を報告する. 本種はスリランカ〜フィリピン･インドネシア・ビスマルク諸島におよぶ範囲から記録されていたが, 文献での報告は少ない. 本種の日本における出現は，これまでいくつかの文献で示唆されていたが，標本に基づいた記録と形態の記載はなされていなかった. 本研究により検討された標本は奄美大島を北限に, 沖縄諸島, 久米島, 八重山諸島 (石垣島, 西表島) から採集され, これらの島嶼の河口域やマングローブ林内あるいは周辺の砂泥干潟に普通に生息することが明らかとなった. 産地によっては, かなりの高密度で巣穴が認められた. 同定の根拠を明らかにすることと種の認識にあたり有用な形態形質を明示することを目的として詳細な記載を与えた. さらに, Lepidophthalmus (新称: ヤワスナモグリ属) の分類の現状と種構成についていくつかコメントを与えた. 論文 続きを見る |

Three of these species, Al. occulta, Al. okinawaensis, and As. picta, are recorded for the first time from Miyako-jima Island.

2012年から2013年にかけての宮古諸島伊良部島および下地島における沿岸生物相調査によって採集された標本に基づき, 口脚目, そして十脚目のうちアナエビ下目, アナジャコ下目, 異尾下目の種について報告する. 標本は, フトユビシャコ上科5種, アナエビ下目4種, アナジャコ下目1種, 異尾下目27種の計37種を含んでいた. それらのうち, フトユビシャコ科のエルドマンフトユビシャコ (新称) Gonodactylellus erdmanni Ahyong, 2001, スナモグリ科のノコバスナモグリ (新称) Neocallichirus vigilax (De Man, 1916), カニダマシ科のトゲウデカニダマシ (新称) Aliaporcellana pygmaea (De Man, 1902) は, 日本沿岸から初めて記録された. 論文 続きを見る |

borradailei (De Man, 1928a) and C. martensi (Miers, 1884), are reported from the Ryukyu Islands, southern Japan; of them G. armatus and C. borradailei are new to the Japanese fauna. These three species occur in easily accessible intertidal to shallow subtidal soft sediments. Detailed descriptions of them are given for better understanding of the diagnostic characters for species recognition. Some points of taxonomic confusion relating to the three species are clarified. The validity of C. borradailei is confirmed, although the taxon has been generally regarded as a junior synonym of C. coutierei (Nobili, 1904). The synonymy of Callianassa (Callichirus) nakasonei Sakai, 1967 with C. martensi is confirmed. A taxonomic overview on Glypturus Stimpson, 1866, Corallianassa Manning, 1987 and Corallichirus Manning, 1992 is provided. Potential diagnostic characters of Glypturus and Corallianassa are discussed.
奄美諸島から八重山諸島の沿岸域で採集された標本に基づき, スナモグリ科の3種, Glypturus armatus (A. Milne-Edwards, 1870) (新称: トゲスナモグリ), Corallianassa borradailei (De Man, 1928a) (新称: モバホソスナモグリ), およびC. martensi (Miers, 1884) (新称: ホソスナモグリ) を報告した. いずれの種も, 海草類の植生を伴った干潟域において確認された. Corallianassa borradaileiはC. coutierei (Nobili, 1904) の異名とされてきたが, 別種であることが確認された. これら3種のうち, トゲスナモグリとモバホソスナモグリは本邦から初記録となる. 3種の帰属と種の同一性についてはかなり混乱がある上, 研究者間で見解の不一致がある. そのため, それらの分類学的な概要を示すことに加え, 種の特徴となる形態の細部を明らかにする目的で, 各種について詳細な記載と図を与えた. さらに, グアム産のCorallianassa assimilis (De Man, 1905) およびインド産のCorallianassa coutierei の標本も加え, Glypturus Stimpson, 1866 (新称: トゲスナモグリ属) とCorallianassa Manning, 1987 (新称: ホソスナモグリ属) の比較を行い, 属の標徴形質となりうる可能性のある形質について論じた. 和名の安定のため, 3種の和名の基準標本を次のとおりとする: トゲスナモグリ (CBM-ZC 12711, 雄); モバホソスナモグリ (CBM-ZC 12712, 雌); ホソスナモグリ(CBM-ZC 12713, 雌). 論文 続きを見る |
